Paying for college?

I am currently in my last semeser of technical college for Drafting and Design Technology. I am interested in Architecture and Design. My ultimate goal is to become an Architect. I am at the school im at now because i could afford it. Once I graduate, I want to know if I can get my foot in the door as a drafter at an architectural firm and either work my way up eventually to be an architect or better yet would they pay for you to go to school and advance your education. If not, then how can i find a way to afford going to a four year school for architecture and afford a place to live and other living expenses?
