Is it true guys are afraid of asking pretty girls out?

yes, some guys are afraid of asking out really attractive girls, the hottest girl during my senior year of high school didn't get asked out to prom because everyone umed that since she was so hot someone must have already asked her out and that she was too good for them or whatever so she had to ask someone who graduated the year before to go with her. I guess people feel like really pretty girls are too good for them or whatever and so they are more hesitant to talk to them or don't take a conversation with them seriously because they feel they would have no chance
