I want to install plantation shutters on side by side windows but have an air conditoner in one, will it fit?

I was wondering if anyone has done this. The windows were installed yesterday so that i could have one window always free for fresh air and the other to accomodate the a/c. Now I think i would like to have a completely different look in the bedroom with the plantation shutters, but am concerned if the shutters will fit , or which kind to buy. I'd love some advise using these three key components: a/c, shutters, fit.
